ElevenLabs Refund Policy (2026): 14 Days, Zero Credits Used

ElevenLabs' entire refund policy is one sentence — and it hinges on a condition most people trip over: you must not have used any credits in the period you're asking a refund for.

Direct answer

ElevenLabs gives a refund only if you request it within 14 days of payment and no credit quota was used in the period you're seeking the refund for. You request by emailing team@elevenlabs.io from your account email with a reason. Canceling takes effect at the end of the billing cycle and you lose any unused credits when it does; app-store purchases (iOS/Android) are refunded by Apple or Google, not ElevenLabs. Note that the terms of use baseline is 'all sales are final,' with the 14-day rule living in the help center. This is an independent summary of ElevenLabs' published policy (verified July 2026) — confirm the live terms before relying on them.

Evidence used

  • The 14-day/zero-credits sentence and the cancellation-credits behavior were read verbatim from ElevenLabs' help center on Jul 13, 2026.
  • The 'all sales are final' baseline and the 12-month PAYG-credit expiry come from ElevenLabs' terms of use.
  • This is a third-party explainer; ElevenLabs' own pages are the authority and can change.

How we checked this

  • We quote ElevenLabs' own help-center and terms wording and link the source articles; the help center (Cloudflare-protected) was read through a live reader proxy and cross-checked against search results.
  • We earn an affiliate commission if you subscribe through our links, which is why we spell out the refund conditions plainly instead of omitting them.

ElevenLabs refund eligibility at a glance (Jul 2026)

SituationRefundable?
Within 14 days of payment, no credits used that periodYes — email team@elevenlabs.io
Within 14 days, but some credits used that periodNo
After 14 daysNo
Pay-as-you-go credit packsNo — non-refundable, expire 12 months
Bought via iOS / Android appVia Apple / Google only

Both conditions must hold. 'No credit quota used' applies to the specific billing period you're claiming — using even part of that month's quota voids it.

The 14-day, zero-credits rule

ElevenLabs' refund policy is a single sentence: a refund is available if requested within 14 days of payment and no credit quota was used in the period you're seeking the refund for.

The whole policy, verbatim from the help center: "You are eligible for a refund if a request is filed within 14 days of payment and no credit quota was used in the period for which you are seeking the refund." Two conditions, both required.

The second condition is the one that catches people. It's not about how many credits you used — using any of that period's quota voids the refund. Generate a single piece of audio on the plan you're trying to refund and you've used quota. So the refund effectively covers 'I subscribed and then didn't generate anything,' not 'I tried it and want my money back.'

There's a layer above the help center worth knowing: ElevenLabs' terms of use set the baseline as "All sales are final. We may offer refunds at our sole discretion," and the 14-day rule appears only in the help article. Separately, pay-as-you-go credit packs are their own case — the terms mark them non-refundable and note that "PAYG credits will expire 12 months after purchase."

How to request, and the app-store exception

Email team@elevenlabs.io from your account's email address and state your reason. If you subscribed through the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google handles the refund instead.

ElevenLabs asks that you "email directly from your ElevenLabs account email address, and state the reasons for your refund" to team@elevenlabs.io. Using the account email matters — a request from a different address slows verification.

In-app purchases are outside ElevenLabs' hands: subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies, and you cancel them through your device's native 'Manage subscriptions' screen rather than the ElevenLabs site.

What happens to your credits when you cancel

Canceling takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you lose any unused credits at that point. Upgrading is immediate and carries unused credits forward; downgrading, like canceling, forfeits unused credits at cycle end.

Canceling doesn't cut off access immediately — it's scheduled for the end of the billing cycle, and you keep the plan until then. But ElevenLabs is explicit that "You will lose any unused credits on your account" when the cancellation takes effect. If you've prepaid for a month of credits you haven't spent, canceling mid-cycle means those unspent credits disappear at renewal rather than carrying over.

The asymmetry is worth planning around. Upgrading applies immediately and "Any unused credits from your previous plan will be added to your new credit quota." Downgrading behaves like canceling — scheduled for cycle end, unused credits lost then. And you can hit "Resume subscription" any time before the cycle ends to undo a cancellation.
