Does Synthesia charge per minute or per video?
Per second of generated video, not per finished video. Synthesia deducts credits by video length at roughly 2 credits per second from a shared annual pool — verified by the pricing page's own 59-second example. Starter includes about 14,500 credits a year (≈120 minutes of video), Creator about 44,000 (≈360 minutes). Because the meter runs on length, a re-render of the same script costs its seconds again, and the credit pool — not a per-video count — is the real limit. Verified on synthesia.io/pricing, Jul 2026.
This is why "how many videos do I get" has no fixed answer on Synthesia: a plan buys a bank of seconds, and how many videos that is depends entirely on their length. Ten 1-minute clips and one 10-minute course draw the same ~1,200 credits.
