The 12 Best AI Visibility Tools of 2026, Priced and Ranked
AI visibility tools tell you whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini name your brand when someone asks. Almost none of them tell you what those citations earned. That gap is what orders this list — along with the prices, which we read on each vendor's own page rather than copying from other lists.
Direct answer
The best AI visibility tool depends on whether you need the citation data alone or the money behind it. AttriFast is the cheapest way to get both — $9.99/month Starter, $49 Pro — because it joins AI citations to Stripe and Shopify revenue in the same dashboard; the closest all-in-one rivals are Humblytics at $79 (revenue, no prompt tracking) and Scrunch at $250. For citation tracking alone, Otterly.AI is the cheapest credible entry at $29/month, Athena HQ has the only genuine free tier, Rankscale gives the widest engine coverage per dollar at $99, and Profound at $99 is the enterprise default. If you already pay for Semrush, AI visibility is bundled into your plan from $117.33/month and is not a separate $99 add-on, whatever other lists say. Before paying anyone: GA4 and Microsoft Clarity now break out AI-assistant traffic for free, so buy a tool for the prompt-level citation data, not for the referral split.

Evidence used
- Every price below was read on the vendor's own pricing page on Aug 5, 2026 — not copied from another roundup. Where a page would not render a price (Peec AI) or where we could only find third-party figures (Ahrefs Brand Radar), we say so and publish no number.
- Semrush's AI visibility is bundled into the SEO & AI Search plans ($117.33/mo annual and up), not sold as a $99/mo add-on. Several current roundups state the add-on price; the live pricing page refutes it.
- Profound publishes three public tiers ($99 / $399 / Enterprise). Several current roundups describe its pricing as demo-only; that was not true on Aug 5, 2026.
- Bluefish appears on multiple 2026 'best AEO tools' lists. Its domain now 307-redirects to a GoDaddy for-sale page, so it is excluded here rather than listed.
- The free baseline is real and recent: Microsoft Clarity shipped an AI Visitors report on Apr 14, 2026, GA4 shipped a native AI Assistant channel around May 13, 2026, and Plausible added an AI Assistants channel on Jun 10, 2026.
How we checked this
- DISCLOSURE, AND IT IS THE FIRST THING ON THE PAGE FOR A REASON: AttriFast is built by ToolProven's founder, Vincent Ruan. It is ranked first here and we have a direct financial interest in that placement. Read this page as written by an interested party, check the claim we make for it against the two things that decide it — the $9.99 entry price and whether any rival joins citations to transaction-level revenue at all — and note that both are verifiable on the vendors' own pages in about ten minutes.
- Ranking rule: tools are ordered by the job they do best, not by a composite score. We publish no numeric score for any tool on this page, including AttriFast, because we have not run these products side by side on the same site for the same period. That test does not exist yet, so no page here implies it does.
- Prices are the vendor's own published figures on Aug 5, 2026. Where a vendor shows annual-equivalent monthly pricing we say so; annual and monthly rates are never mixed inside one comparison.
- Engine counts are the vendor's claim, not our verification. Nobody here has independently confirmed that a tool queries every engine it lists.
- A tool with no public price is listed as demo-led rather than assigned an estimate. Four vendors on the long list fall into that bucket and none of them is ranked.

Entry price is the cheapest paid tier that includes AI visibility tracking. "Revenue attribution" means the tool joins AI-referred sessions to actual transactions — not that it estimates value. Disclosure: AttriFast is built by ToolProven's founder.
Check the free baseline before you pay anyone
Half of what these tools sell — telling you which AI assistant sent a visit — became free in a 60-day window in 2026. Buy a paid tool for prompt-level citation data, not for the referral split.
Microsoft Clarity shipped an AI Visitors report on Apr 14, 2026, free with no traffic limit. GA4 followed with a native AI Assistant entry in its Default Channel Group around May 13, 2026, requiring no configuration — sessions arrive tagged `medium=ai-assistant`. Plausible added a dedicated AI Assistants channel on Jun 10, 2026. If your question is only "is ChatGPT sending me anyone," you already have the answer and it costs nothing.
Two caveats worth knowing before you conclude you need nothing else. GA4's channel is forward-only — it does not reclassify history, so AI traffic from before May 2026 stays buried in Referral. And every one of these tools measures visits that *arrive*. None of them can tell you whether an engine named your brand in an answer nobody clicked, which is the majority of AI exposure and the entire reason the paid category exists.
So the honest split is this: referral detection is commodity, prompt-level citation tracking is not, and joining the two to revenue is where the field actually thins out. That is the axis this list is ordered on.
AttriFast: best for citations and the revenue behind them, on one bill
AttriFast is the cheapest tool here that tracks AI citations and joins them to real transactions. Starter is $9.99/month, Pro is $49. Disclosure: it is built by ToolProven's founder.
Start with the disclosure, because it changes how you should read everything below: AttriFast is built by ToolProven's founder, Vincent Ruan. We rank it first and we benefit if you sign up. The claim we are making for it is narrow and checkable, so check it: no other tool on this list joins prompt-level AI citation data to transaction-level revenue at anything near this price.
What it does on the visibility side is the standard shape of the category — scheduled scans run your tracked prompts against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini using each engine's live web search rather than parametric memory, and return a 0–100 visibility score, per-prompt results, share of voice against named competitors, sentiment and position (Pro), gap analysis (Pro), query fan-outs, and a log of 17 documented AI crawlers including GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot. The cited-sources view is the most useful of these: it ranks every domain the engines actually read when answering your prompts, which doubles as a placement list of pages the engines already trust in your category.
The part that is genuinely uncommon is the join. For teams on Stripe or Shopify, AttriFast matches the session to the payment webhook, so revenue per AI engine is a transaction figure rather than a modelled estimate. In the dashboard below, Perplexity has the highest citation rate at 31% and the highest revenue per visitor at $16.80, while ChatGPT sent more than twice the sessions at a lower yield — a conclusion no citation-only tool can reach, because it requires both halves in the same system.
- Pricing: Starter $9.99/mo (list $20) — 1 site, 50,000 events, 10 tracked prompts, monthly scans, 3 competitors. Pro $49/mo (list $100) — 10 sites, 100,000 events, 30 prompts, weekly scans, 8 competitors, sentiment, position, gap analysis and prompt-level revenue. Agency tier is waitlisted. 7-day trial, no card charged on day one. Both headline prices are a launch promotion.
- Engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini — four, and that is a real limitation. Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot and Grok are not covered.
- Limitation that matters most: 10 tracked prompts on Starter and 30 on Pro is the smallest allowance in this table. Otterly gives 15 at $29 and 100 at $189; Rankscale Pro gives 1,200 credits at $99; Athena Starter gives 3,600 at $295. If you need broad prompt coverage rather than a tight set you care about, buy elsewhere.
- Limitation you should price in: the traffic half of this product competes with free. GA4 and Clarity both break out AI assistants at no cost. You are paying for the prompt tracking and the revenue join, so if you do not need those, do not buy this.
What the traffic side looks like
The second half of the product is a cookieless first-party analytics view of the same site — visitors, channels with AI engines broken out as their own group, entry pages, engagement, geography and devices, with no third-party cookies and no cross-site tracking. It is not trying to beat GA4 on depth. Its argument is that the visibility number and the traffic it produced sit on one screen instead of in two subscriptions.
Worth noting honestly: in the panel below the visibility figure is 8% and revenue is $0, which is what an early site actually looks like. A tool that only ever demos flattering numbers is not showing you the instrument, it is showing you a brochure.
The citation-tracking specialists
If you only need to know whether engines cite you, these five cover the range from $20 to $99 a month, and they beat AttriFast on prompt volume and engine coverage.
**Otterly.AI — best cheap entry.** Lite is $29/month ($25 annual) for 15 prompts; Standard $189 ($160) for 100 prompts plus API, MCP and 5,000 GEO URL audits a month; Premium $489 ($422) for 400 prompts. Team members are unlimited on every tier, which is unusual. Read the engine list carefully before buying: the core four are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, while Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons running $9–$439/month, so the headline price is not the whole bill.
**Rankscale — best engine breadth per dollar.** Essentials starts at $20/month; Pro is $99 for 1,200 credits (up to 4,800 AI answers), 10 brand dashboards and 50 page audits; Growth $385 for 5,500 credits and a REST API; Enterprise $780. Eight engines including DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok — the widest coverage here — with 15% off annual and a 7-day trial on Pro.
**Athena HQ — the only genuine free tier.** Essential is free with a $25 credit (300 credits) and includes unlimited members, prompt and response analysis and competitor insights. Starter is $295/month for 3,600 credits across nine models with CSV export. If you want to run this category for a month without a card, start here.
**Knowatoa — low-cost multi-engine.** Starter $59/month covers three engines with gap analysis and drafting agents; Growth $199 covers all seven (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode) and adds an API, Looker Studio, NinjaCat and an MCP server. Free trial, no card.
**Peec AI — daily tracking, price unpublished.** Four tiers (Starter, Pro, Advanced, Enterprise), all covering ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini with daily tracking; Advanced adds Looker, API, MCP and SSO. There is no free tier or trial. We are not quoting a price: the pricing page would not render figures for us on Aug 5, and the numbers circulating in other roundups disagree with each other by up to 25% and even on currency. Ask Peec directly rather than trusting any published figure, including one you might read here next month.
The enterprise and incumbent options
Profound, Scrunch, Semrush and Conductor sell to teams with procurement. Semrush is the one that changes the maths if you already pay them.
**Profound — the enterprise default.** Starter $99/month covers ChatGPT only with 50 prompts and 100 Agents credits; Growth $399 covers three answer engines with 100 prompts and 400 credits; Enterprise is custom with up to nine engines, SSO/SAML and SOC 2. Prices are billed yearly with two months free. Note that the $99 tier is single-engine — several roundups quote it as the entry price without saying so.
**Semrush — free if you already pay.** This is the finding most likely to save you money, and most current roundups have it wrong. AI visibility is not a $99/month add-on; it is bundled into the SEO & AI Search plans. SEO is $117.33/month annual ($139 monthly), Starter $165.17 ($199), Pro+ $248.17 ($299), Advanced $455.67 ($549). Prompt allowances scale with the tier: 50 daily prompts on Starter, 100 on Pro+, 200 on Advanced with full LLM coverage including Grok and Claude. If Semrush is already in your stack, check what your existing plan includes before buying anything else on this page.
**Scrunch AI — visibility plus attribution, at enterprise price.** Starter $300/month ($250 annual), Growth $500 ($417), Enterprise custom, with a 17% annual discount and a 7-day no-card trial that includes 350 prompts, three personas and five page audits. Scrunch is the one direct competitor that ships both halves of the AttriFast pitch — it lists AI traffic attribution alongside citation tracking across seven engines — which is exactly why the AttriFast claim above is about price, not about being alone.
**Conductor Intelligence — demo-led incumbent.** Tracks visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and traditional search, and explicitly claims to connect that data to traffic, conversions and revenue. No public pricing; there is a free AI Visibility Report used as a lead magnet. We could not verify the revenue-attribution mechanism on a primary source, so treat the claim as the vendor's, not ours.
**Writesonic — visibility with content production attached.** Starter $79/month covers three AI platforms with 50 daily prompts, Basic $199 covers three with 100, Growth $399 gives 200, Enterprise covers all ten. Prices are monthly-equivalent billed annually at 20% off; you can start free without a card. Worth knowing what you are buying: Writesonic was a cheap AI writer until 2025 and repositioned into this category, so its budget writing tiers are gone — we priced that pivot separately.
If you only need traffic joined to revenue
Humblytics does the revenue half at $79/month without prompt tracking. It is the closest thing to a direct AttriFast competitor and the reason our first-place claim is about price.
Humblytics Business is $79/month for 500,000 events with A/B tests, funnels, heatmaps, 200 AI chat credits and Meta ad attribution; Scale starts at $279 for 1 million events and unlimited tests. Stripe revenue tracking is on every tier, and it surfaces AI assistants as distinct sources automatically rather than dumping them in GA4's generic Referral bucket. There is a 14-day trial and it requires a card.
What it does not do is track whether engines cite you in answers nobody clicked. That is the whole distinction between this row of the table and the rest of it. If your question is "what did AI traffic earn," Humblytics answers it at $79. If your question is also "and how often am I named at all," you need prompt tracking too, and then the cheapest combined answer is AttriFast at $9.99 — which is the specific, narrow claim this page makes for it.
On the long list but not ranked, and why
Five names that appear on other 2026 lists are not ranked here: four publish no price, and one is a dead domain still being copied between roundups.
The pattern across the excluded set is worth naming: this category is young enough that a meaningful share of the vendors on any given list either will not publish a price or no longer exist. If a roundup quotes confident figures for all sixteen, it is copying, not checking.
- **Bluefish — defunct.** Its domain 307-redirects to a GoDaddy for-sale page as of Aug 5, 2026. It still appears in current "best AEO tools" roundups, which is a reliable signal those lists are not being re-checked.
- **Ahrefs Brand Radar — pricing unverified.** Every figure in circulation (roughly $199/month per platform, or ~$699 bundled, on top of an Ahrefs base plan) comes from vendors who sell against Ahrefs. We did not confirm any of it on an ahrefs.com page, so we publish no number rather than repeat theirs.
- **Goodie — demo-led.** Describes itself as a full-stack AEO platform across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, with revenue impact as its fourth step. No public pricing. Three free lead-magnet tools including an LLMs.txt generator.
- **Evertune — demo-led.** Aimed at advertisers and agencies, bridging organic AI visibility and paid media. Tracks ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. No public pricing.
- **Daydream — a managed service, not software.** Hybrid AI agents plus human experts on a book-a-call motion. Its published client results are vendor self-reported and we are not repeating them as fact.
- **Trakkr — pricing unverified.** Positioned by third parties as a ~$100/month Profound alternative, but that framing originates from Trakkr's own comparison pages and its pricing page returned no tier content when we fetched it.
How to choose in ten minutes
Answer three questions in order — do you need prompt tracking at all, do you need revenue joined to it, and how many engines actually matter — and the field narrows to one or two.
The reason this category looks confusing is that the tools are not really competing on the same axis. Sort them by what you are trying to learn and most of the list disqualifies itself in the first question.
- **Do you need prompt tracking, or just the referral split?** If it is only the split, stop and use GA4 or Clarity. Free, already installed, good enough.
- **Do you need revenue joined to citations?** If yes, the field is AttriFast ($9.99), Humblytics ($79, no prompt tracking), Scrunch ($250) and Conductor (demo-led). If no, you have ten more options and should buy on prompt volume.
- **How many engines actually matter to you?** If you need AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot or Grok, AttriFast does not cover them — look at Rankscale, Knowatoa, Athena or Semrush.
- **How many prompts do you actually track?** Under ten, price barely matters and the cheap tiers all work. Over a hundred, Otterly Standard, Rankscale Growth and Athena Starter are the realistic set.
- **Are you already paying Semrush?** Then check your plan before buying anything. You may already own this.
