Arcads vs Creatify (2026): Cost per Ad, Credit Rules and Who Owns the Video

Both make creator-style AI ads with talking actors. They are priced and licensed very differently: Arcads sells 10-minute credit blocks behind an unpublished paywall and licenses you the video; Creatify publishes a $39 entry plan, meters by the 15-second block and assigns you the copyright.

Direct answer

Creatify is cheaper per finished ad at comparable volume: a 30-second talking-actor ad works out to $3.90 on Creatify Starter ($1.90 billed annually) against $3.85–$5.50 on Arcads Starter at its reported promotional and list prices. Creatify also publishes its prices, has a free plan and assigns you the copyright. Arcads is the pick when the actor is the product — 1,000+ actors, three talking-actor engines, self-cloning on Pro and Veo, Sora and Kling in the same credit pool — and it refunds a paid period you did not use. Test the same hook on both before committing.

Evidence used

  • Creatify prices, credits, actor counts and expiry were read on creatify.ai/pricing (rendered, monthly and annual) on Oct 3, 2026; per-feature credit costs from its help center article updated Aug 19, 2026.
  • Arcads credit allowances, rates, rollover and refund rules were read in its help center on Oct 3, 2026. Arcads publishes no prices; its dollar figures are third-party paywall reports dated Aug 4 and Aug 24, 2026.
  • Licence terms are quoted from creatify.ai/terms §6.2 and arcads.ai/terms (in force Sep 22, 2026). Trustpilot scores were read Oct 3, 2026.
  • Every per-minute and per-ad dollar figure is our arithmetic from those prices and each vendor's published credit rate, for one actor and no retakes.

How we checked this

  • Both tools are compared on the same yardstick — cost of a finished single-actor talking ad — using each vendor's own credit rate. Where a price is third-party, the table says so.
  • Every figure is reproducible from the sources below; recheck both vendors' checkout before you pay, because Arcads' prices change with its promotions.

Creatify figures from creatify.ai/pricing and its help center. Arcads credit figures from its help center; Arcads dollar prices are third-party paywall reports (Aug 2026) because Arcads publishes none.

Quick verdict: which one should you buy?

Pick Creatify if price per ad, a published plan and owning the copyright matter most — it is cheaper at comparable volume and has a free plan. Pick Arcads if the actor performance is the ad and you will use 10+ actor-minutes a month. Below that volume, Arcads' credit blocks cost more than they deliver.

The two products overlap on the headline feature — a realistic AI person talking about your product — and split on everything around it. Creatify is built around the ad workflow: paste a product URL and get a draft ad, adapt one of 200+ AdFlow templates, clone an existing ad's structure, and on Pro, hand campaigns on Meta, TikTok and AppLovin to a performance agent with automations. Arcads is built around the actor: a 1,000+ actor library, three talking-actor engines, a hook repurposer, self-cloning on Pro, and the premium generative models — Veo 3.1, Sora 2, Kling, Seedance — billed from the same credits.

So the honest split is by team. A store owner or a lean growth team making a steady stream of product ads should start on Creatify: the entry price is a third of Arcads' list, the annual plan halves it again, and the output is yours outright. A performance agency whose testing loop is "same script, ten different faces" gets more from Arcads, provided the volume is there to use a 10-minute block every month.

Cost per finished ad, side by side

Per talking-actor minute, Creatify costs $7.80 on monthly Starter and $3.80 on annual; Arcads costs $11.00 at its reported Starter list price and $7.70 on promotion. A 30-second single-actor ad is $1.90–$3.90 on Creatify Starter and $3.85–$5.50 on Arcads Starter, before retakes.

The two meters convert cleanly. Arcads charges 800 credits for each minute of each talking actor, so Starter's 8,000 credits are 10 minutes. Creatify charges 5 credits per 15 seconds of avatar video, rounded up — 20 credits a minute — so Starter's 100 credits are 5 minutes. Divide the price by the minutes and the gap is plain: Arcads buys twice the minutes for two to three times the price of Creatify's monthly Starter.

Volume narrows the gap without closing it. At roughly the same monthly volume — 50 to 60 actor-minutes — Arcads Pro costs $9.17–$11.00 a minute at list and $6.42–$7.70 on promotion, depending on whether it carries the 48,000 credits one report found or the 40,000 most cite. Creatify's 1,000-credit Pro tier buys 50 minutes for $299 a month ($5.98 a minute) or $179 billed annually ($3.58). Arcads' promotional Starter is the one place it draws level with Creatify's monthly Starter, $7.70 against $7.80 a minute, and Creatify's annual plans still cost about half.

Two caveats keep the table honest. Creatify's 15-second rate covers avatar and URL-to-video ads; its Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone runs use "variable" credits that "cannot be determined upfront", and its Pro plan card budgets ~2–20 credits a video ad. Arcads' pool also pays for generated B-roll — one Veo 3.1 clip costs 800 credits, a full actor-minute — so ads that lean on generative footage cost more there than the actor rate implies.

Cost of a finished talking-actor ad (one actor, first take)

PlanPrice / monthTalking minutesPer minutePer 30-s ad
Creatify Starter, annual$195$3.80$1.90
Creatify Starter, monthly$395$7.80$3.90

Creatify Pro 1,000, monthly$29950$5.98$2.99
Creatify Pro 5,000, annual$799250$3.20$1.60
Arcads Starter$110 / $7710$11.00 / $7.70$5.50 / $3.85
Arcads Creator$220 / $15420$11.00 / $7.70$5.50 / $3.85
Arcads Pro$550 / $38550–60$9.17–$11.00 / $6.42–$7.70$4.58–$5.50 / $3.21–$3.85

Our arithmetic. Creatify: published prices, 20 credits per minute. Arcads: third-party reported prices (list / 30% promo, Aug 2026), 800 credits per minute; Pro shown for both reported allowances (40,000 and 48,000 credits).

Retakes, rollover and running out

Creatify bills revisions at 3 credits per 15 seconds and makes them free on Pro if the script, avatar and voice don't change; Arcads bills every regeneration in full. Creatify credits last two months (a year on annual Pro). Arcads Starter and Creator credits expire each cycle, and the account stops at the limit.

Retakes are where real budgets go, and the two treat them differently. Creatify's help center prices a revision at "3 credits per 15 seconds of video" — cheaper than the 5-credit first pass — and on Pro and higher, "Revisions are free if you don't change the script, avatar, or voice." Arcads has no revision rate: a new take is a new generation at 800 credits a minute, and its refund policy rules out quality complaints such as "unsatisfying lip sync" as grounds for credits back.

Expiry runs the other way from what the prices suggest. Creatify's monthly credits "expire every 2 months", so a quiet month carries into the next, and annual Pro credits "Expire yearly". Arcads' Starter and Creator "reset each cycle and do not roll over", and "Your account will be temporarily blocked once you reach your monthly credit limit" — only Pro and above roll credits over and bill overage instead of stopping.

What each one is built to do

Creatify turns a product page into finished, launchable ads: URL-to-video, templates, ad cloning and, on Pro, a performance agent for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin campaigns. Arcads is an actor studio: a 1,000+ actor library, three talking engines, self-cloning and premium video models in one credit pool.

Creatify's plan sheet reads like a media-buying tool. Starter includes 300 AI actors, 200+ AdFlow templates, 50+ premium models and one generation at a time, with videos up to 2 minutes. Pro adds 1,500 actors and 3 custom avatars, 100+ models, five parallel generations, videos up to 10 minutes, Ad Clone, and a performance agent with automations, plus up to 5 seats with 2 included. On Oct 2, 2026 it launched Boreal-H3, its own ad-tuned video model, priced at 0.4 credits a second at 768p.

Arcads' feature list reads like a casting call. Its help center prices three talking-actor engines (Arcads 1.0, Audio-Driven and OmniHuman 1.5) at the same 800 credits a minute, ready-made presets such as an unboxing POV (400 credits) or a product showcase (800), a hook repurposer, and video translation at 240 credits. On Pro you can clone yourself into a talking actor for 1,600 credits a video and import custom voices from ElevenLabs. It also folds the big generative models into the same credits: Veo 3.1, Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro, several Kling versions, Seedance and Grok video.

Who owns the ad: licence vs copyright

Creatify assigns you the copyright in what you create and says you keep it after your plan ends. Arcads licenses the video for reproduction, distribution and marketing, limits the edits you may make, sells only to businesses and attaches a €500,000 per-breach indemnity to misuse of its actors.

Creatify's terms are the simpler position: "You own all your original content in the Assets you create with the Services and Creatify hereby assigns to you all copyright rights", with one restriction — the assets "may not be used to train artificial intelligence models" — and its pricing FAQ adds: "You own all of your creatives, even after your plan ends." Free-tier users "have limited rights", so publish from a paid plan.

Arcads' terms grant a licence instead: the right to "reproduce and the right to fix the Video" and to "distribute, broadcast and market the Video", with permitted changes listed — "cropping, add music, text and subtitle, emoji, B-rolls, Gifs, sound effect, changing the format of the Video, affixing the Client's name, brand and logo." Breaching the actor-use restrictions costs "500.000,00 euros … per breach", and you must take videos down if an actor withdraws, at "a hundred (100) euros per day of delay". For an agency delivering to clients, that difference belongs in the contract.

Refunds, trials and what users complain about

Arcads refunds a paid period in full if you used zero credits and ask within 30 days; Creatify's payments are non-refundable. Both have billing complaints on Trustpilot: Arcads scores 2.7 from 179 reviews, Creatify 3.8 from 834, with credit burn and cancellation problems common to both.

The risk on Arcads is the trial: "If your 3-day trial ended without you cancelling, your saved card was automatically charged for the Starter plan," and renewals must be cancelled "no later than 72 hours before the end of the current Period". The protection is a refund policy most of the category lacks — zero credits used means a full refund within 30 days, plus a one-time 24-hour courtesy refund on your first charge.

The risk on Creatify is the opposite: there is no trial to forget, but "payments are final and non-refundable", and its cancellation flow runs through a retention offer and a pause option. Read the annual checkout carefully — one September review describes expecting $49 a month and being charged the full year up front. The free plan, two watermarked video ads a month, is the safe way to judge output before paying anything.

How to test both on the same hook in one afternoon

Write one 30-second script with a three-second hook. Run it through Creatify's free plan, then start Arcads' 3-day trial and run the same script on two actors. Compare lip sync, delivery and the credits each take consumed — then cancel the Arcads trial before 72 hours unless it clearly won.

Keep the test fair: same script, same length, one actor each, first take only, and note the credits the app shows before you confirm. On Creatify, a 30-second ad should cost 10 credits — the free plan's whole month — so make the one test count. On Arcads, a 30-second take costs 400 credits.

Judge the result as an ad, not as a demo: would the first three seconds stop a scroll, does the voice match the face, and would you post it without an edit? Whichever wins on your script is the right tool for your account, and the Arcads pricing breakdown and Creatify credits explainer will size the plan.

Run the same hook through both

Creatify's free plan covers one 30-second test ad, and Starter is $39 a month or $19 billed annually. Arcads' 3-day trial covers the other side — cancel before 72 hours if it doesn't win on your script.
