InVideo Refund Policy (2026): The 'Used Subscription' Rule That Voids Your 7 Days

InVideo's refund page has one clause that catches most people out: a single generated or downloaded video makes your subscription 'used' — and used subscriptions are not refundable, even inside the 7-day window.

Direct answer

InVideo offers refunds only within 7 days of your purchase or renewal date, and only if the subscription is unused — InVideo counts it as used the moment any video or asset is generated or downloaded in the current billing period, after which it is 'not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.' Refunds are reviewed case-by-case at InVideo's discretion, so even meeting both conditions doesn't guarantee one. To request, email support@invideo.io from your account. iOS purchases must be refunded through Apple, not InVideo. This is an independent summary of InVideo's published policy (verified July 2026) — confirm the current terms on InVideo's own help pages before relying on them.

Evidence used

  • Every rule and quoted phrase here was read from InVideo's live refund and cancellation help articles on Jul 13, 2026.
  • This is a third-party explainer, not InVideo's official policy page — the vendor's help center is the authority and terms can change.

How we checked this

  • We quote InVideo's own help-center wording and link the exact articles; nothing here is our interpretation dressed as policy.
  • We do not process refunds, cannot influence InVideo's discretionary decisions, and earn an affiliate commission if you subscribe through our links — which is exactly why we document the refund path plainly rather than burying it.

InVideo refund eligibility at a glance (Jul 2026)

ConditionRefundable?
Within 7 days of purchase/renewal, nothing generated or downloadedMaybe — reviewed case-by-case
Within 7 days, but one video/asset generated or downloadedNo — 'used', not eligible
After 7 daysNo
Purchased through iOSVia Apple only, not InVideo

Both conditions must hold, and approval is still discretionary. 'Used' resets each billing period — a fresh renewal is refundable only if you haven't generated anything since it renewed.

The 7-day window — and the condition attached to it

You have 7 days from purchase or renewal to request a refund, but only if the subscription is unused. InVideo defines used as any video or asset generated or downloaded in the current billing period.

InVideo's refund article states the window plainly: a request must be filed within 7 days of the original purchase or the renewal date. The catch is the second condition. In InVideo's words, "A subscription is considered used if any video or assets has been generated or downloaded, during the current billing period," and "Used subscriptions are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances."

Read together, that means the refund is really for people who bought the plan and then didn't use it — not for people who tried it, generated a few videos, and decided it wasn't for them. A single export ends eligibility. Because the clock also restarts on renewal, an annual or monthly plan that auto-renews is refundable for 7 days after the renewal charge, but only if you haven't generated anything since it renewed.

One more thing most summaries skip: even when both conditions are met, InVideo reviews refunds "on a case-by-case basis" and approves them "at our discretion." Approved refunds are returned in 5–10 business days. So the honest framing is: unused + within 7 days makes you eligible to ask, not guaranteed to receive.

How to request a refund (and the iOS exception)

Email support@invideo.io from your account with your details and reason. There is no form or in-app refund flow. If you bought through iOS, Apple handles the refund, not InVideo.

The request path is a single email to support@invideo.io including your account details and the reason for the request — there is no self-serve refund button. Send it from the email address on the account to avoid delays.

If you subscribed inside the iOS app, InVideo can't refund you: "Apple handles billing for iOS purchases directly, so any refund request needs to go through them rather than us." That means Apple's own 'Report a Problem' flow, subject to Apple's rules and timeline. Google Play purchases follow Google's process similarly.

How to cancel InVideo cleanly

Open your profile → Subscription → Cancel and follow the steps. Your plan stays active until the end of the current period, then downgrades to free; your card is removed automatically once you're on the free plan.

Canceling and refunding are separate actions — canceling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period. From the profile menu (top right), open "Subscription," choose Cancel, and complete the on-screen steps.

InVideo confirms the timing: "Your plan will remain active till the end of the current period after which you will be downgraded to the free version," and "The card is removed automatically from the account once you're on the free plan." So cancel before the next renewal date if you don't want to be charged again — you keep paid access until that date regardless.

If your goal is to try InVideo without refund risk, the honest move is to start on the free plan and watch how fast the credit pools move on your own prompts before paying.
