Runway credits calculator
Convert any Runway credit amount — or a whole plan — into seconds of video, number of images, and dollar value. Runway prices everything in credits and only shows the exchange rate in fine print; this does the math for you.
Quick answer: at Runway’s published rate, 625 credits buy about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 video, 104 seconds of Gen-4 Turbo, or 78 Gen-4 images — roughly 12 credits per second on the flagship model and about $0.01 per credit à la carte.
Estimates derived from Runway’s published exchange rate (625 credits = 52s Gen-4.5, 104s Gen-4 Turbo, 78 Gen-4 images, verified Jul 2026). Third-party models (Kling, Seedance) draw from the same pool at their own rates. Runway shows exact costs at generation time and can change them — treat these as planning figures, not a quote.
How Runway credits convert
Runway meters every generation in credits, and the plan copy is the only exchange rate it publishes: Standard’s 625 monthly credits equal “52s of Gen-4.5, 104s of Gen-4 Turbo, or 78 Gen-4 Images” by Runway’s own math. That fixes the rates this calculator uses — about 12 credits per second of Gen-4.5 video, about 6 per second of Gen-4 Turbo, and about 8 per Gen-4 image.
Two caveats keep the numbers honest. First, third-party models such as Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 draw from the same credit pool at their own rates, so the pool drains faster or slower depending on what you run. Second, purchased credits (sold à la carte from about $0.01 each) never expire, while monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle and only roll over on the Max plan — the full rules are in our Runway credit rollover explainer.
