Every entry below is a dated read of Synthesia’s own pages — what changed, when we verified it, and the source it was read on. The date is the day we read the page, stated as such; vendors do not announce these changes, which is why a timeline of independent reads is the only record of them. Newest first. If a figure here disagrees with a vendor page newer than its entry, trust the vendor page and tell us.

Synthesia's own pricing FAQ still quotes the prices it cut in July
Re-read synthesia.io/pricing Aug 13, 2026. The plan cards render Starter at $29/mo monthly or $18/mo billed yearly and Creator at $89/mo or $64/mo yearly — the post-cut prices we logged Jul 25. But the FAQ on the same page still answers 'Synthesia costs $29 per month or $264 if you go with an annual plan' and 'Creator costs $89/month or $804/year' — the pre-cut annual totals ($264 = $22/mo, $804 = $67/mo) that the cards stopped showing three weeks ago. One page, two annual prices for each plan — $48 a year apart on Starter, $36 on Creator. Until Synthesia reconciles its own FAQ, the card figures ($216/$768 a year) are the ones its checkout charges — and the third-party roundups quoting $22 or $67 a month are quoting the stale FAQ, not the ladder.

The page's own plan data gives Starter $29/mo or $18/mo billed yearly ($216) and Creator $89/mo or $64/mo yearly ($768), under a banner offering plans from $18/month at a 38% saving. Credit pools and stated minutes are unchanged (14,500 credits, up to 120 min; 44,000 credits, up to 360 min). We had published $264 and $804 from the Jul 19 read, which put our cost per finished minute at $2.20 and $2.23; it is $1.80 and $2.13. Corrected in the pricing explainer, the credits calculator, the cost-per-minute answer and the HeyGen head-to-head. Two of our pages had already noticed the discrepancy and hedged rather than resolving it — that hedge is gone.

Synthesia: cancellation ends access to all videos in the account
Verified on Synthesia's help center Jul 13, 2026: after a billing period ends you "lose access to Synthesia and all videos in your account," purchases are non-refundable, and accidental cancellations reverse only within 48 hours.
